Mission Statement
- To promote and continue the spirit of comradeship developed whilst serving in HM Armed Forces through organised social functions
Club Overview
- The JSSC is first and foremost a Social Club.
- Members (& guests) are expected to treat one another with respect.
- Membership of the JSSC can be refused and revoked at the committee’s discretion.
- There is no discrimination within the JSSC with regards to branch, rank or cap badge.
- Membership is open to any HM Forces Veteran including Reserves (formally TA), Royal Fleet Aux (RFA).
- Membership is to be paid in full (eg £60 from 1 Aug Annually)
- There’s no discount for payment partway through the year
- The JSSC aims to organise events throughout the year. Such as Black Tie Dinner (at Christmas), Games Night, Horse Racing Night, Themed Summer Function & Oktoberfest. The intention is for these events to be heavily subsidised for members; guests/partner may attend at a nominal fee.
- The Committee will be voted in by the members at an AGM.
- Communication of JSSC matters and functions will be done electronically and by means of a notice board in the Manx Legion Club (Douglas).
- Associate Members may apply to join. However, they should be sponsored by a JSSC Member for review by the committee on a case by case basis.
